DL Privacy Policy

DL ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Fanz Empire. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: Profile information (name, email, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, photos, bio, preferences), account credentials, messages, and hookup preferences.

Automatically collected: Device type, IP address, app usage patterns, crash reports.

Location data: GPS coordinates when you grant permission. Used for nearby profiles, World Chat radius, and distance display.

Health information (Special Category Data): HIV status, PrEP status, vaccination status, safer sex practices. These fields are entirely optional and provided at your sole discretion. We process this data only with your explicit consent under GDPR Article 9(2)(a).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the DL service
• Show you nearby profiles sorted by distance
• Enable messaging, taps, and social features
• Process subscriptions and in-app purchases
• Enforce community guidelines and prevent abuse
• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use health information for advertising.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Other users: Your profile information (excluding email, password, precise GPS) is visible to other users per your privacy settings
• Service providers: Hosting, CDN, and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
• Law enforcement: When required by valid legal process

We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data retained while account is active
• Deleted accounts: All personal data permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Messages: Deleted when both participants delete the conversation. Expiring messages auto-delete after the set timer
• Location data: Only your most recent location is stored; historical location data is not retained
• Server logs: Retained for 90 days for security and debugging

5. Your Rights

All users:

• Delete your account: Profile > Settings > Delete Account. All data permanently removed
• Export your data: Profile > Settings > Export My Data. Download all your information as JSON
• Control visibility: Hide distance, go incognito (Unlimited tier), control who sees your profile

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@fanz.website.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email privacy@fanz.website.

6. Data Security

We protect your data with:

• TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted database storage
• Bcrypt password hashing (cost factor 12)
• JWT token-based authentication
• Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
• Regular security audits

7. Age Requirement

DL is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We verify age at registration. If we discover a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated and all data deleted.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours via email and in-app notification, and report to relevant supervisory authorities as required by law.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is processed on servers located in the United States. By using DL, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US. For EU users, transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
